Joshua Gonzalez

President


Joshua Gonzalez is our Chapter President.  He has been working the IT field for over 20 yrs and is currently the Director of IT Infrastructure and Research Computing at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. In this position, he oversees TAMU-CC’s cable plant, voice and data networks, systems and storage infrastructure, data center, and research computing. Prior to TAMU-CC Joshua worked for multiple financial institutions in various IT roles.  Joshua serves on the Lonestar Education and Research Network Technical Advisory Group and as a board member for TTVN.  TTVN is the wide area data and interactive communications network that serves the campuses and agencies of The Texas A&M University System. Joshua is a graduate of the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs Executive Leadership for Information Technology Excellence (ELITE) and holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from A&M-Corpus Christi.
In his free time, Joshua enjoys hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities with his three adopted children.

Abby Gonzalez

Abby Gonzalez, Vice President of ISSA Texas Coastal Bend, has been working in the Information Technology field for 15 years. She is currently the Educational Technologist for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and has been in this position since 2012.  She works collaboratively with the IT and Distance Education departments, as well as with faculty, as an eLearning resource/trainer providing technical and instructional design consulting services that augment on-site, blended, and online learning.  Ms. Gonzalez also assists with the administration of the University’s learning management system and manages all aspects including the population of user accounts, course integration, record maintenance, and content creation. Abby Gonzalez previously served as an Internet Specialist at Del Mar College providing quality, timeliness, efficient performance, integrity, security, and management of the College’s Learning Management System server services.

Susan Quinn

Susan Quinn

 Over the past 20+ years, Susan Quinn has accumulated a broad range of knowledge and experience in the IT industry in both the private and public sectors and has been an ISSA member since 2012. In her current position as an Information Security Analyst at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, she utilizes multiple enterprise management tools to monitor, analyze, and report on all aspects of campus security to ensure proper controls are in place, as well as participating in efforts to minimize security risk for the University. As a direct report of the CISO, she is engaged in policy development, incident response, and security training and awareness. Throughout her career Ms. Quinn has achieved and maintained a variety of IT certifications to include CISSP, CCENT, CNE, and Splunk Enterprise Admin. She also received an AAS with an emphasis in Network Administration and Information Security from Del Mar College. Ms. Quinn is a veteran of the US Navy.
